A Life at the Heart of the 20th Century
In 1919, the British government invited Abdulaziz Al Saud, the ruler of Najd, to send a mission to London. He chose his 13-year-old son Faisal to represent his vision for Arabia to the governments of Europe.
Abdulaziz ruled over Najd, the arid region at the heart of the Arabian Peninsula. It was here that Faisal’s life and journey began. As Abdulaziz’s third son, he grew up close to his father and learned a great deal from him about statesmanship.
Throughout his life, Faisal remained devoted to his people, his heritage, and the traditions of his desert home.
