KFCRIS signed MoU with UNESCO-RCQE

On Tuesday, February 02, 2021, the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the UNESCO Regional Center for Quality and Excellence in Education UNESCO-RCQE. In the signing of the MoU, the KFCRIS was represented by its Secretary-General, Dr. Saud Al-Sarhan, and the UNESCO-RCQE was represented by its Director General, Dr. Abdulrahman Almedaries.

This memorandum aims to strengthen cooperation between the two parties by exchanging sources and experiences, carrying out joint projects, and supporting programs and initiatives to achieve the objectives of vision 2030. The vision 2030 goals are to improve Saudi society in all fields, including providing education suitable for facing the future's challenges and prompting generations to hold the country's torch of development.

Dr. Abdulrahman Almedaries explains that this memorandum will strengthen the strategic relations between the two parties. It supports the UNESCO-RCQE's approach of building local, regional, and international relations to maximize the benefit of its research, technical, and development outputs. He also says that this memorandum is about exchanging resources and publications related to education and research, exchanging experiences and services of researchers and consultants, and joint financing projects to develop databases and quality and excellence in education data.

For his part, Dr. Saud Al-Sarhan says that this memorandum aims to strengthen the scholarly research cooperation, strengthen cooperation between the two parties through joint projects, and support both parties' programs and initiatives.

The signing of such a memorandum falls within the KFCRIS efforts to bolster collaborations and strengthen relations with local, regional, and international institutions and organizations in the fields of research and studies.
