Calling for the Restructuring of the International System

Date: March 26, 2017

Speaking at Abraaj Week 2017 in Dubai, HRH Prince Turki Al-Faisal, Chairman of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies, warned that the world is slowly sliding into an unimaginable situation, as the world faces enormous challenges. If the international community does not deal with it, chaos and emptiness will be the most serious threats facing our world in the absence of responsible world leaders, and broad and comprehensive visions. "The immediate future is not changing, and everything we see in today's world reflects the great failure of politics in the last few decades."

He continues: "I think that all the issues we face now bear political risks, which are symptomatic of a deep structural problem in the current international order resulting from the failure of the international community to live up to the principles of good governance as enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations 70 years ago."
