On Thursday July 29, 2021, the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS) convened an online panel discussion entitled "Saudi Arabia’s Linkages with Afghanistan and Its Role as a Peace-broker.” The opening remarks were given by Dr. Mohammed Al-Sudairi (Head of Asian Studies Unit, King Faisal Center for research and Islamic Studies). Three speakers joined the panel discussion: HE Ambassador Sayed Jalal Karim (Former Ambassador of Afghanistan to Saudi Arabia), Kamal Alam (Fellow, Royal Geographic Society; Senior Research Fellow, Atlantic Council) and Dr. Ellinor Zeino (Country Director Afghanistan, Konrad Adenauer Foundation). The discussion was moderated by Umer Karim (Associate Fellow, King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies).
