Joshua is an Associate Fellow at the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS). He has worked at the U.S. State Department for ten years as an expert on Arabian Peninsula affairs. In this role, he has studied the political, economic and social issues in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Yemen, serving as an advisor and an institutional memory for American diplomats. At the same time, he is a doctoral candidate preparing a thesis on "Saudi Relations with Iraq in the Time of King Abdulaziz Al Saud."
