The library of Dr Saad Al-Sowayan is encyclopedic in scope, containing both Arabic and English materials, particularly reference works and primary sources concerned with traditional culture in its various aspects, as well as numerous books in other fields.

The library contains 2,447 Arabic books, 1,820 English books, various issues of 34 academic journals, and 97 photocopied manuscripts.
