On Monday, February 17, 2025, the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS) held a panel discussion entitled "The Art of Manuscripts and the Study of Aesthetic Text”. The discussion was held in the presence of HRH Princess Maha bint Mohammed AlFaisal, Secretary-General of KFCRIS.

 Professor Idham Mohammed Hanash presented a comprehensive vision on the aesthetic and artistic aspects of Arabic manuscripts, highlighting the integration of calligraphy, decoration, gilding, binding, and paper-making as a cultural and historical heritage. The discussion addressed the differences between "calligraphy" and "typography" and the influence of Western styles, emphasizing the importance of digital documentation to preserve this unique artistic heritage for future generations.
