On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS) signed a MoU with the University of Salamanca for research collaboration between the UNESCO Chair in Translating Cultures supported by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission and the Faculty of Translation and Documentation and the Department of Translation and Interpreting of the latter university.

In the signing of the MoU, KFCRIS was represented by the Assistant to the Secretary-General, Mr. Ibrahim Aldeghaither, and the University of Salamanca was represented by the Vice-Chancellor for Internationalization and Cooperation, Dr. Raúl Sánchez Prieto.

The two parties will collaborate on organizing seminars, workshops, and other research events at both institutions. They will jointly work on publishing research publications and exchanging scholars through the Chair's fellowship program and the Translating Cultures Lab.
