On Sunday, February 16, 2024, the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University. In the signing of the MoU, KFCRIS was represented by Dr. Abdullah Hamidaddin, Assistant Secretary-General for Scientific Affairs, and PNU was represented by Dr. Fawzyah bint Suleiman Al-Amro, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.

This MoU enhances collaboration between the two entities by aligning their efforts in common research areas, including Islamic studies, Arab and Islamic cultural heritage, the preservation of Arab heritage in the digital age, manuscript conservation, and strengthening the importance and influence of the Arabic language. The MoU also seeks to offer training programs for female students, conduct staff training on mutually beneficial topics, and exchange artificial intelligence data relevant to the interests and areas of work of the involved parties.
