On Wednesday, March 5, 2025, the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS) presented three rare manuscripts At the Sharjah Exhibition 2025, highlighting the legacy of Arab and Muslim scholars in geography and navigation. From Ibn Majid’s maritime treatises to Al-Idrisi’s maps and Ibn Hawqal’s journeys—pages that bring history back to life.
Under the theme "Chapters of Islamic Art: Journeys," the Sharjah Exhibition 2025 celebrated the contributions of Muslim scholars to world exploration. Three valuable manuscripts from the King Faisal Center recount the stories of travelers and navigators, redrawing the maps of the past through the lens of the present.
