on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, HRH Prince Turki AlFaisal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies, met with the trainees of the 8th edition of the “Young Leaders for Global Communication Program” at the Center’s headquarters in Riyadh, in the presence of Dr. Mohammed Al-Sayed, CEO of the Salam for Cultural Communication Project. During the meeting, His Highness emphasized the significance of national identity awareness and cultural openness when representing the Kingdom internationally.

His Highness welcomed the trainees at the beginning of the meeting, praising the distinguished efforts of the Salam Project in building the capacities of Saudi youth and preparing them for positive engagement with diverse cultures. He stressed that representing the Kingdom abroad requires a deep understanding of its history, culture, and national identity, along with recognition of its future vision based on moderation and openness.

His Highness also noted that the King Faisal Foundation will celebrate next year the 50th anniversary of its establishment, stating that this milestone represents an important intellectual and cultural moment that highlights the Foundation’s contribution to knowledge, education, and society. He further affirmed that the Center’s research and cultural platforms are open for young people to participate in its upcoming programs and activities.

During the open dialogue with the trainees, HRH Prince Turki answered various questions and discussed the concept of human civilization, citing a saying by HRH Prince Khalid AlFaisal, who likened civilization to “a tree whose roots extend deep into history, with its trunk visible above the ground, and its branches growing one after another—representing the various cultures whose values and principles stem from the same roots.” His Highness emphasized that humanity is one civilization that shares values and principles nourished by common sources.

The Salam for Cultural Communication Project is considered one of the national initiatives dedicated to promoting the positive image of the Kingdom through training programs and research-based initiatives that aim to enhance dialogue and international communication skills.

The Young Leaders Program for Global Communication is one of the key initiatives under this project. It provides trainees with comprehensive knowledge-based and practical training that enables them to represent the Kingdom in international platforms and engage with different cultures from an open and globally oriented national perspective.
