On Thursday June 17, 2021, the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS) convened an online panel discussion entitled "Have Different Experiences of Economic Development Impacted Regional Integration in the Maghreb?” The opening remarks were given by Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Aweisheg (Secretary-General Assistant, Political Affairs and Negotiations, Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC)). Four speakers joined the panel discussion: Jon Marks (Chairmen and Founder, Cross-border Information), Dr. Adeel Malik (Globe Fellow, the economies of Muslim Societies& Associate Professor in Development Economics, University of Oxford), Abdelmalek Alaoui (Chairman, Institut Marocain d'Intelligence Strategique) and Lilia Hachem Nass (Member of the Board, Maghreb Economic Forum). The discussion was moderated by Zaid M Belbagi, (Partner, Hardcastle Advisory).
