On Tuesday, December 7, 2021, the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS) and the United Nations Centre of Counter-Terrorism (UNCCT) at the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) co-convened a webinar entitled "Resilience to Violent Extremism through Strategic Communications." The opening remarks were given by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the KFCRIS, HRH Prince Turki AlFaisal and Dr. Jehangir Khan, the Director of the UNCCT. Three speakers joined the discussion: Dr. Abdullah Hamidaddin (Head of Yemen Studies Program, King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies), Dr. Maryyum Mehmood (Young Religious Leader Maker, EDIN Project Graduate), Lillian Vicente (EDIN Project Lead and Programme Specialist), Ayael Alqarni (Research Fellow, King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies). The discussion was moderated by Sian Hutchinson (Head of Unit, Global PCVE Programme, United Nations Center of Counter-Terrorism).
