HRH Prince Turki AlFaisal inaugurated the second “Al-Marwīyah Al-ʿArabīyah” conference under the theme “Desert Culture,” in the presence of HRH Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz

On Monday, May 6, 2024, HRH Prince Turki AlFaisal, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of KFCRIS, inaugurated the second “Al-Marwīyah Al-ʿArabīyah” conference under the theme “Desert Culture,” in the presence of HRH Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh.
Dr. Abdullah Hamidaddin, the Assistant Secretary-General for Scientific Affairs at KFCRIS, delivered opening remarks, in which he introduced the conference.
HE former ambassador Kunio Katakura, President of Motoko Katakura Foundation for Desert Culture, delivered a speech to honor his late wife, anthropologist Prof. Motoko Katakura.
Alongside the conference, KFCRIS held a workshop entitled "Desert Culture"
