HRH Princess Maha bint Mohammed AlFaisal received delegation from Hill Museum & Manuscript Library
On Thuesday, May 27, 2025, HRH Princess Maha bint Mohammed Al Faisal, Secretary General of the King Faisal Center, received a delegation from the Hill Museum & Manuscript Library (HMML) to explore avenues of collaboration in manuscript preservation, digital documentation, and specialized education. The HMML delegation included Dr. Columba Stewart, Executive Director, and Walid Murad, Director of Operations. The delegation held an extensive meeting with KFCRIS departments, highlighting HMML’s expertise in digitizing over 450,000 manuscripts in various languages across the globe. The HMML team expressed their appreciation for the Center’s efforts in safeguarding Arab and Islamic heritage, affirming their readiness to provide mobile digitization studios, train Saudi professionals, and offer access to their educational platforms for researchers in the Kingdom. This visit reflects the Center’s commitment to global cooperation in protecting cultural heritage and affirms the Kingdom’s leading role in preserving the cultural memory of the Islamic world amid growing threats to original knowledge sources.
