HRH Prince Turki AlFaisal delivered opening speech at the seventh German-Arab Gulf Dialogue on Security and Cooperation.

Date: June 23, 2025

HRH Prince Turki AlFaisal, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the KFCRIS stated that the world is witnessing the collapse of the liberal international order, with the new system taking shape amid chaos he described as a “time of monsters,” quoting the philosopher Gramsci after World War I. This was stated in the opening speech HRH delivered during the 7th Gulf-German Dialogue on Security and Cooperation, held in Berlin on Monday, June 23, 2025. In his speech, Prince Turki warned that the Gulf and Europe could become victims of the emerging world order unless they strengthen a strategic partnership that goes beyond traditional bilateral ties.

HRH called for a Gulf–European cooperation framework that includes recognizing the State of Palestine, stabilizing Syria, and confronting what he referred to as “the monsters in Tel Aviv,” affirming these are integral to regional and global security. Prince Turki AlFaisal praised the Gulf states’ success in building a model of stability and development, thanks to the strength of their political systems and the stable process of succession — which enabled them to direct resources toward citizens’ well-being and social peace. HRH affirmed that Germany is well-positioned to lead a shift toward a more just global order, and that recognizing Palestine would be a fair step toward regional stability. He also warned of the unforeseen consequences of rash actions in an already turbulent region.
