On Thursday, October 23, 2025, the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies received an academic delegation from Shanghai University. The visit came within the framework of strengthening academic and cultural cooperation between the two institutions, and exchanging expertise in areas of research and joint studies.

During the visit, the delegation met with Dr. Abdullah Hamidaddin, Assistant Secretary-General for Scientific Affairs at KFCRIS, along with a number of researchers, where the Center’s efforts in supporting intellectual and humanities studies were presented, as well as its initiatives in the fields of translation, heritage preservation, and making knowledge accessible to the world through its research and publishing programs.

Both sides also discussed future cooperation opportunities in the fields of civilizational and comparative studies, and cultural dialogues between the Arab world and China, in a manner that enhances mutual understanding and serves the goals of global academic research.
